Wanderlust, Watercolor Memories, Pre Historic Cave Paintings and Monet's Garden

Did you know that no one is certain of the reasons why the prehistoric artists painted on the  cave walls in the Dordogne region of France? Would you like to walk through the caves and view the painted bisons, reindeer, horses and mammoths up close?  I promise you will be amazed and inspired by the history and craftsmanship of these Cro Magnon painters.

These are some of the images you will see on the walls of the caves in Southern France

If you would like to visit the Dordogne region and visit some of the caves with me, I would like to have your company.

My Spring April 25-May 9, 2016 Watercolor Journaling workshop will begin with a train ride to Giverny, where we will spend 5 days, visiting and painting in Monet's Garden and touring some of the other lovely small towns in the Normandy region including the towns of Rouen, Vernon and Auvers Sur Oise where Van Gogh spent his last 70 days painting.

Then we will take the train to the town of Sarlat, which is centrally located for visiting the caves, as well as close to the other delights of this region including castles, chateaux,  rivers (care to kayak anyone?), markets, and more. We will spend 9 days exploring the Dordogne region and painting daily journal style. The cost for this two week workshop is $4,500. and includes lodging, transportation, breakfasts, daily art instruction and more. It does not include airfare.  For more info, please email me at anywhereart4u@gmail.com
